Share Your Theatre Experience with Beyond Theatre Collective
Beyond Theatre Collective exists to support community and educational theatre through practical, experience-based resources. Our blog is built by theatre professionals, educators, and creatives who care deeply about collaboration, accessibility, and sustainability in theatre spaces. We are looking for guest blog contributors to help share their knowledge
If you’ve ever thought:
- I wish someone had told me this earlier
- I’ve figured out a process that works
- I’ve learned something the hard way and want to pass it on
—you’re exactly who we’re looking for.
You don’t need to be a professional writer or marketer to contribute. If you have lived experience in theatre, your voice belongs here.
Why Be a Guest Blog Contributor?
- Amplify real voices from the theatre community
- Share practical, approachable resources
- Support students, volunteers, and community theatres
- Create content rooted in experience, not theory
Contributors receive:
- Full author credit and a professional bio
- Editorial support (clarity, grammar, structure)
- A published piece you can share in portfolios or applications
- A small honorarium per blog post

What We’re Looking For
We accept original, experience-driven blog posts on topics such as:
- Theatre education and student involvement
- Community theatre operations
- Stage management, technical theatre, or production workflows
- Design, props, costumes, or backstage processes
- Volunteer coordination and appreciation

Strong posts focus on one clear takeaway and are written with students, volunteers, and early-career theatre makers in mind.

Sharing Experience Thoughtfully
We encourage honest reflection and lived experience—but with care.
When sharing stories:
- Avoid naming specific people or organizations negatively
- Keep examples generalized and anonymous
- Focus on lessons learned, not blame
- Write from a place of reflection and growth
This allows contributors to speak honestly while protecting the trust and privacy of theatre communities.

- Professional, but not academic
- Accessible to readers with varying experience levels
We value inclusive language, people-first storytelling, and content that welcomes students, volunteers, and newcomers into theatre spaces.
